Call it a dance, ball, frolic, caper, or fling, Welcoming the Wattle will wave winter goodbye in great style and make people kick up their heels at the lively music played by Paverty, Canberra’s premier bush band.
Bob Buckley will teach and call the dances so no previous dance experience is needed.
Paverty Bush Band will be leading singing and dancing at the festival.

Paverty Bush Band will present a small concert at the Monaro Folk Society (MFS) Merry Muse folk club.
With its distinctive, creative and entertaining presentation, Paverty is one of Australia’s leading folk/bush bands. Pavs feature strong vocals and an instrumental line up which includes leading players of guitar, fiddle, whistles and flutes. Pavs distinctive and wide choice of material ranges from bush ballads, contemporary country to jugband music ensuring a unique musical experience.
The Blackboard begins at 4pm and the main act, Paverty Bush Band, is at 6.15 pm.
