The Burra community is holding a community bush dance in their community hall.
Come along to the Bush Dance at 6pm on Saturday 13th August at Burra Hall. The band has a caller so everyone can join in, even if you don't know the dances. Kids are very welcome and FREE.

Paverty Bush Band is Canberra’s premier bush band. They started in 1970 as Franklyn B Paverty and the Platt Valley Crooners. Since then, Paverty has played for concerts, folk festivals, bush dances, weddings, parties, school fund-raisers, corporate functions, in Canberra and the surrounding region.
Paverty plays Australian folk music – an eclectic mix of traditional and original songs, ballads and instrumentals with country, blues, rock, bluegrass, skiffle and jug band influences.
The Pavs are booked to appear at the National Folk Festival, Easter 2022.

The Wamboin community is holding a bush dance to raise drought relief funds ... and as a social event for the community. Locals with extended memories see this as resurrecting a previous use for their community hall.
All fund from the door and donations go to drought relief.
Come early for some auctions and fund-raising for the cause.

The fundraiser is at the Hall Pavillion. The Pavs are due to play 6-7pm in an evening of diverse entertainment.

Dance the night away. This is the Belconnen Community Service's first dance of this kind (the band has done this type of thing before). The experienced band will teach each dance ... then continue providing instructions as throughout the dance.
